Do You Care?

December 10, 2011 by Racheal

While we’re all caught up in trying to find the present and working ourselves into a lather about ornaments and teacher’s gifts, this is probably a good time for a deep breath and a dose of reality.

2 of my favourite artists, Kedre Browne and Jessey Pacho, want to remind us that there are a lot of people who don’t have those problems.  Their biggest worry is where they’ll sleep tonight.

rPm Mural-1001.jpgThey recently unveiled a new mural to help raise awareness for Invisible People and Project Winter Survival here in Toronto.  As Kedre put it “I’d never thought much about it.  They really were invisible people.”

Remember the reason for the season, and if you can, please donate.

This time of year always reminds me of how very fortunate most of us are… and how others are really not as lucky. Great pics, Rachea! Great post too!!

been there and I am the highest placed teacher on the QECO grid for Ontario. When the system grows cold on you, you are nothing, yep invisible!
When we think of God, Intelligent design, we think of a world so refined that there is no pain and suffering nor disease etc.
Imagine when the world was first conceived, the Creator asked every human if he-she would consent to Him looking through His-Her eyes. All accepted of course. Then memory was pulled and no one remembered ever knowing they once had accepted a divine role, the embodiment of a medium through which the world would be judged by.
Some creatures chose to be projected as the poor, the sick, the downtrodden. It was a difficult choice to make but someone had to take the rolls, remember the Creator wanted partners in re-creating a better world, a two way street kind of thing.
Life is not easy, nor are the choices we make BUT SOME HAVE A HUMUNGOUS BURDEN TO CARRY. What would we have given not to be in their shoes since some took our place in this imperfect scheme!
DO NOT HESITATE TO LIGHTEN THE PAIN AND SUFFERING OF OTHERS. BE JUST AND KIND AND GENEROUS BECAUSE THE PERSON NEEDING COULD HAVE BEEN YOU!
WHAT DO YOU THIS PERSON FOR CARRYING YOUR LOAD, THE CREATOR IS WATCHING THROUGH THOSE. EYES!
    WHO IS INDIFFERENT?
    WHO IS SHUNNING?
    WHO IS REFUSING COMMUNICATING?
WHO IS ALLOWING HUNGER, COLD, PAIN, ANXIETY?
SPEND A NIGHT, A MO;NTH, A YEAR, A LIFETIME AS A HOMELESS PERSON BEFORE YOU REFUSE TO HELP, IOR HELP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
