It’s basketball camp week for our two boys and two of our good friend Jenn’s boys at two different locations. The logistics are a bit nuts, but for the most part, Jenn has the luxury of picking up our two respective six year olds.
Tasman and Mason have known each other since they were zero and are pretty great friends, even if they don’t see each other all too often. Jenn recorded their conversation on the ride home yesterday and transcribed it for all the parents and I am sharing it with all of you because it is pretty freaking funny.
Tasman (on the right): Mason, do you go to church?
Mason: No, well, at Christmas. Church is boring.
T: I know, too much standing.
M: Too much standing, sitting and singing.
T: I wish it was Christmas everyday.
M: Me too.
T: I wish it was Halloween every 2 days.
M: Me too.
T: I wish it was Hanukkah every 80 days.
M: I don’t celebrate Hanukkah
T: I do, Christmas is better. Did you know there are red rhinos?
M: Yeah.
T: They live in Africa.
M: I know.
T: I bet your mom didn’t.
T: I wonder if God knows Santa.
M: Of course he does, he made him.
T: Right, I wonder if his reindeer fly.
M: I don’t know.
T: I bet when we are asleep they just pull him around in his sled.
M: Yeah.
T: And I bet he needs a ladder to get on our roofs. Oh look, we are here.
And scene…
