They salt the fries to make you thirsty so you buy something to drink but what customers don’t know is that you can actually get them without salt. Yes it’s true. When I was working for the franchise we had customers come in ask for no salt fries to which we had to empty the vat, wipe it down and make a fresh batch of crispy yummy no salt fries!

Actually I asked about the salt issue due to the more recent research and reports of how excess sodium in all our foods is affecting our health, especially blood pressure and water retention, and we were told that Sodium content is the next thing McDs is looking to improve on. I wouldn’t be surprised if we soon get plain fries and salt on tables to do it ourselves!

I agree, I would prefer if they did not salt them. I have asked for fresh fries no salt please, sometimes I have been lucky and they have been able to accomodate me!

Yes salt is added to the fries. I personally would prefer if they did not salt them and just leave them in all their golden deliciousness!
