Lack of time is the most frequent reason given when asked why we
don’t exercise. The truth is that as busy moms, we have less time for
ourselves. Our days are filled with doing everything for everyone
else…kids, spouses, pets. It seems that we are last on our list of
priorities. Some days we barely have enough time to shower, let alone
exercise!
The good news is that you don’t need large blocks of time to get
into shape. Gone are the days of going to the gym for 2 hours. In
fact, you don’t even need a gym!
Here are a few tips to squeeze in the exercise when you can.
1. WALK BRISKLY. Whether you are walking to the grocery store, the
park or to the corner to mail a letter, take every opportunity to walk
briskly and get your heart rate elevated. Every little bit counts.
2. PARK FAR AWAY. Going to the mall and stressed about parking? No
worries. Park on the outside of the parking lot to get in some extra
cardio.
3. SAY YES TO STAIRS.
