Along with the crows’ feet, sagging bosom and inability to stay up past 10:30 pm, a more recent sign of my aging is the fact that I can’t handle wearing high-heeled shoes for more than, like, 15 minutes.
Back in my “barefoot and pregnant” days, this was no problem. I was schlepping kids around in my muumuu, wearing hearty Birkenstock sandals to the beach to give my girth the orthopedic support it required.
But now I’m a realtor. Muumuus and Birks aren’t part of my usual dress code anymore.
And while I love the look of heels and wedges for the summer, I was finding that my back was starting to ache after trotting around town in them for the day. So, I began a hunt for a sandal that offered some decent support, but didn’t look like it belonged to a hippie or a geriatric patient.
It was tougher than it sounds.
But, I found them.
The photo doesn’t really do them justice. Just trust me, they’re prefect. They go with everything: dresses, skirts, pants, you name it.
(They are by Pikolinos and they’re swell. I was not compensated for this purchase or blog, though that would have been nice!)
Did you make any purchases that have added a little spring to your step this season?

I invested in a pair of open toe Clark sandals last season and still love them. A small heel that I can walk all day in!
…and I love these too!

ooh I love this shoe! I’m totally on the hunt for a good summer pair. My fave pair snapped at the end of last summer…:(
