We’ve reached the point of the summer break where the kids are starting to kind of go crazy.
Too much ice cream, too many late nights, too many preservative-soaked hot dog dinners, too much sun, too much sand, too much everything.
It gets me starting to feel ready for the fall routine to descend upon us. Not quite yet, but soon. A couple more weeks of beach time, then it will be time to start scratching things off the school supply list, and thinking about bathing the children on a semi-regular basis again.
Are you still loving summer and loving it hard, or is fall’s siren song luring you in?

The face she is making in this photo I have seen before. I’m sure I have some of you making that same face.

yes, the call of fall is ringing for us too…I wish summer vacation was only 1 month long, 6 weeks at the most, it would be a lot easier on everyone in my opinion

Fall is my favorite time of year. It is to me what summer is to everyone else. It is my chance to relax, catch up with friends & family, do swimming lessons and other fun stuff with the kids. Yep, I’m looking forward to it.

Nope – I could do summer endlessly. Maybe it’s because I’m a teacher and fall means back to work for me.
I could sleep hard, play hard and eat sweet summer goodies all year. I could bask in the warm SK sun and sniff baby sunscreen for a lot longer.
I’m not ready to give it up yet!

I’m feeling the call of the fall… yes please. The too-lateness and too-muchness is taking it’s toll on all of us. I’ll be glad to get back to the school schedule in a few weeks.
Enjoy what’s left of the summer with your family, Amanda!
