Last night we celebrated an early Christmas with my husband’s sister and brother. There was a nice dinner, lovely gift exchange and lots of photos taken. There was also a five year-old whimpering on the couch, clutching a barf bowl and fighting a 103 degree fever.
Merry Christmas!
Without fail, every Christmas since we have had kids, one or all of them gets sick. Ear infections, fevers, the Norwalk virus, you name it. And of course it always spreads like wildfire so all our guests get sick too. It really puts a damper on things.
I am doing my best not to let it get me down, and it’s almost becoming laughable in its consistency.
Hope you have a healthy holiday, because we sure won’t!

so normal when you have 3 close in age, Amanda, you really are not the only one! So hard though as we have that image of the perfect Christmas, right?
I feel like it is one of those things that no one really told us about before we got pregnant!!!
Merry Christmas! -n

I hope she is feeling better soon and in time for the 25th…..and that it does not spread!!!

Christine says
Oh that’s so awful! Poor thing.
I hope she’s better soon and that it passes quickly and everyone is better by next weekend!
Last year Eva and I were both struck with a nasty case of the pukes on the 22nd of Dec. We were just starting back on food in time to have a nibble or 2 of Christmas feast. It sucked.

Oh noes!!
You’re not the only ones with this dreaded curse… though, I’ve got my fingers crossed for a healthier holiday this year. (Usually it’s the husband – not the kids.) Anyway, keep your chin up, lady… wishing you the best of the season anyway, and with luck, you’ll all ring in the New Year in good health, or at least over the hump. Poo!! xox
