You know that game, “Whack A Mole” where you have a big plush mallet and you get to smash little creatures when they pop out of their holes? Fun, right?
Well, it’s not quite so fun when the playing field is your FACE, and the moles are actually volcanic pimples elbowing their way to the tops of your pores. Just when I think I’ve gotten one of the flaming zits under control, two new ones will surface, and the cycle just goes on and on.
Pregnancy hormones kind of suck sometimes.
My skin is usually pretty clear, thanks to a steady dose of the birth control pill, but when I’m pregnant, all bets are off and I look like the greasy, pizza-faced pre-teen who takes my order at McDonald’s.
I know there are bigger things in life to stress about than my aching acne, but every now and again I think it’s worthwhile to acknowledge that some pretty freaky, gross, and disturbing things can happen to a pregnant woman’s body and she ought to feel free to gripe about them when the mood strikes.
What is your least favourite part of pregnancy?

I have tried every acne treatment out there and had no luck. Any one had acne and was able to cure it successfully ? If so please share what you did to cure it. Would really apprecate any help.

I have been calling myself Miss Rashy Face since I found out I was pregnant. My skin was great with my first one and now I look AWFUL. So I sympathize with you. Otherwise I don’t mind being pregnant, I just wish I didn’t look like a pregnant pimply teenager right now.

I hated the hip and back pain, the weight gain, not being able to sleep on my stomach, not being able to drink the occasional beer, the stares, people talking to my belly, the unattractive maternity clothes, the tuba music that played in my head whenever I walked across a room… Ugh, no more babies for me!
The worst thing for me was having to take off my wedding ring because I was too fat for it, that made me really sad both times.
I suppose it isn’t all bad, though, I feel like I have to say something good after all that negativity! My favorite thing about my second pregnancy is how my son moved around. It was always a gentle rolling-type motion, never jabby or pokey. He used to roll around in my tummy at night when I was trying to fall asleep, it was a wonderfully relaxing feeling that lulled me to sleep quite well.

aahh the joys of pregnancy…I had a knife like pain shooting into the left side of my groin with every step I took from 5 months until the birth of each of my kids. Thank goodness we stopped at 2!!!

No Zits, but I have about 4 cold sores on my top lip throbbing and pulsing and reminding me what a happy time this is! HA!

Dude. I’m not even pregnant and I have a new zit every day. (I suppose the brownie I just ate for breakfast is not helping my predicament.)

Definitely the huge cyst like pimples I got on my chin, forehead, and cheeks. I’ve never had bad acne like I did then and my face is STILL recovering from it. Over a year later!

Thank you for reminding me (NOT). When I was pregnant, my entire forehead erupted in little bumps that took forever to go away. It was truly breathtaking in a Seinfeld kind of way.
I also had crazy leg cramps at night when I was trying to sleep. One foot would seize up and I would have to jump out of bed and bang it against the floor until the muscles relaxed. One night this happened and I jumped out of bed, but my foot was contorted because of the muscle cramp and instead of supporting my weight, it gave out and sent me falling flat on my face.
Pregnancy is SUPER fun! It’s a good thing that there is a cute little baby at the end of it.
