This is not supposed to sound dark or sad. In fact, it makes me excited and has become, over the last years, very important to me as a big motivator in my life.
This is not to be confused with caring about what people say about you in that trivial , I am being judged, better- not- be -the- real -me -sense. If I have been me and true to me, than I don’t care if I am criticized by the ‘extras’ in the movie of my life.
This is about your core people, the people you touch every day, the people you love. And also about those you don’t know very well who you touch, by VERY MUCH being yourself.
This is what I want people to say about me when I die;
She was kind and generous
She loved her life
She was an amazing mother
She loved her people deeply and was not afraid to show it.
She told people all the time what they meant to her
She told people what was beautiful about them
She was very affectionate.
She was sensitive to the needs of others
She was creative and unique.
She was fiery
She was calm
She was sexy.
She had her own style
She was respectful of life and how short it is
She took good care of her body, her mind and her soul.
She was honest.
She was a hard worker.
She was playfull
She was hopefull
She was funny
She was never in a rut
She was full of grit
She was not afraid
She did not waste precious moments
She made a difference
Some days I am better at this than others but this is my motivator.
What is yours?

Nancy says
remember all those things that people all over the world said about your mom when she died? Some people you never even knew, some events she never told you about, some great and lasting effect she had on so many? I think of that alot. It motivates me.
Nancy says
oh yes all of us on any day.
That goes without saying.
who said “perfect?”
Julie says
today it’s….
she’s a naggy mom who makes her kids cry before school.
that’s my motivation! change that #$%^&!
Nancy says
hush! We will be old fiery cougars together!
These things are all you, btw.
And your momma!
Laura says
You are all these things to me. In the event I outlive you, which will probably not happen, these are the things I will say about you. In fact, I say them now.
