After all these back and forth posts on nighttime toilet training, the boy decided last weekend that he was done with diapers. We’ve done a ton of laundry (did I say ‘we’??) BUT we’ve also had two dry nights. Including one where he ate asparagus for dinner and ended up in my bed….I was dreading the outcome of that one let me tell you. But when he woke up dry….I went bananas for him. There was cheering, there was dancing, there were high fives and of course, there were stickers on the fridge. Who would have thought that not sleeping in your own urine would bring about such celebrations. Think about your time as a parent…think of all the things that you have made a major production about that if you had been interviewed over a beer at a pub in your twenties you would have NEVER imagined!

Wait until his first tooth falls out, he gets his first goal, he gets an award at school. Praising our kids and celebrating their milestones are awesome! We make sure we call the grandparents and cousins too! Yay! Will!
