There’s so much to do when you move into a new house. Painting. Unpacking. Organizing. Rearranging the kitchen that your sister unpacked for you. Hanging pictures. Getting used to the strange noises. Finding your boots on the first cold day of the year. And ENTERTAINING!
Over the summer, I did a ton of entertaining! I wanted to show off the new place and people were curious to see if the house lived up to my constant crowing about it.
I survived and had fun in the process. Because, no matter who drops over, you can please the masses with some salsa and chips and a glass or two of wine. The beauty of having a new house? All of my friends, new and old, who stop in for a visit. So, after a summer filled with change and the stress of a big move the adjustment was made so much easier through the company and good times shared with friends. Honestly? Everything seems better when surrounded by good friends and good wine.
The best part about our new house (besides the wood burning fireplace?) is the neighbourhood we moved to! It’s filled with a big group of my friends. Friends who feel comfortable enough to drop by to relax, chat and enjoy each other’s company.
So. Now off to stock up on the chips and salsa. And if you’re ever in the neighbourhood….

So fun! I am just getting back into the entertaining groove too, after massive renovations and having a baby….there’s nothing so great as sharing food and wine with people we love. It’s what life’s all about!
