Carrie Underwood has an amazing life, but she’s most grateful for her son, Isaiah who she had with husband, Mike Fisher. “I never really knew what it was like to love something or someone unconditionally until I had him.”
The American Idol alum went on to say, “he’s so sweet and so smart. He’s a little sponge just growing and learning everyday. He’s just the best thing.”
Underwood shared that her 13-month-old son not only “climbs all over everything,” but now also repeats everything. “He’ll hear you say something and he’ll mock you,” says Underwood. “Right now he walks around the bus and he’s like ‘OK, OK.’ It’s adorable.”
The “Jesus, Take the Wheel” singer married Fisher in 2010 and the couple has had to make some adjustments since their son came along last February. While having a baby hasn’t completely changed their relationship, it has pushed them to be more conscious of the time they get to spend together.
“Sometimes you have to make more of an effort to be with each other because it’s really easy to put all of your time and energy into your baby,” shared Underwood. “It’s been—not challenging, but just something that we’re really just trying to be mindful of and try to make time for each other. We’re planning a vacation right now—we need it!”
