Yesterday morning I woke up at 5:15am. Completely unheard of from me.
I am in no way, shape or form a morning person.
I woke up yesterday nervous. Nervous about what the day had in store for us. Just as I had been last year.
It was the annual talent show at the kids school. If you haven’t had the pleasure of watching Cuyler nail his Knock Knock routine last year, then you must.
He decided several months ago that he was going to do magic at this year’s talent show.
Perfect. He loves magic.
Perfect. He loves magic.
I found several very simple tricks that I thought he would be able to successfully perform.
He probably could have if he practiced. He was unwilling to take the time to learn the steps required to do each trick.
Suddenly simple magic seemed so complex.
Before I knew it the talent show was here. I realized that we didn’t do “rehearsals” at home like we did last year. He kept insisting that he was ready. I had to have faith.
Still…I was up before dawn yesterday. Worried.
What will he do? Will the kids laugh at him? Will they boo him?

As usual, I had nothing to fear.
Please – if you have 5 minutes to spare today (and don’t get nauseous from a few shaky camera moments), I encourage you to take a look at my awesome little boy, who once again filled me with pride.

I disagree. That’s magic if I ever saw it!

I was already smiling at the picture alone. Video – well. What can I say?!?
Amazing is right!
