Aaaaaand….ACTION!

July 20, 2011 by Christine

The other day Cuyler spent most of the day writing a script on the computer and printing each page as he completed it.

He did not actually write the script, rather he typed out word for exact word the movie that his class made at the end of the school year.  I was floored that he remembered each and every word.  And each and every direction – ie: Jeremy stomps back to his desk, annoyed.

He found the video camera that we no longer use.  Got out the tripod and gathered all of us in the family room.
It was time to start filming our movie.
He told us where each of our places are.  Gave us a heads up on our lines – but we were NOT to look at the script.  He put his headphones on and asked if we were all ready.  We were.
He was very specific about his equipment.

We took our places and filming began.  He took his role as director very seriously and if we made a mistake, we had to shoot the scene again.  It was a little nerve wracking.
You never want to piss off the director, y’know…?

dirctr.JPGdirector.jpgDaddy is taking on a dual role in the movie – one is a supporting actor in the film and the other will be to edit the film together.  I hope to be able to show it on here one day.
I gotta say – the kid has a knack for this stuff…
