There are few things in life cuter than photographer Seth Casteel’s Underwater Dogs series—I mean his Underwater Puppies for sure. But other than that, it’s a short list. And just when we thought the list was done, Casteel has done it again.
His latest book takes the cake. Underwater Babies might just be the most adorably stunning thing we have EVER seen.
The photos capture babies underwater during their swimming lessons and they do a wonderful job of capturing an all important milestone. Casteel spoke with Babble.com and shared why this photo series was much more difficult than his work with puppies and dogs:
“Because each photo shoot was a swim lesson, the instructors decided how many times a baby would go under, and for how long. Usually it was once or twice and for a couple of seconds. I only had a brief moment in time to capture a photo and then the opportunity was gone.”
Casteel admits to enjoying his time with babies (and dogs) more than photographing adults, even though the babies could be “a little cranky” every now and again.
The images are breathtaking and we are pretty much already out the door to buy a copy of the book for ourselves… who can be bothered waiting 4-6 days for this much cuteness?
