I know they are a tad cliche, but for years I have been wanting a nest necklace with three eggs to remind me of my girls. I ordered one off Esty a couple years ago but it ended up being a scam (who scams on ETSY?!) but finally decided to just go ahead and place another order with a different crafter. Thankfully, this one came. And I love it. So do my girls. Whenever I leave for work, I bend down to give them a hug and point to the necklace to remind them that I will be thinking of them during the day. They point out which little egg they are and smile.

Oh! I have been looking at those on Pinterest but never put it together to represent your own kids (duh, maybe because I only have two and all the samples pictured had three or four eggs? I’m running with that excuse!). They are very pretty, and I love that they take pleasure in the meaning. I have rings with my kids birthstones on them, and my daughter liked asking about those in much the same way. 🙂

So cute! I saw something similar when I was pregnant with my second – it was a pea-pod with 4 peas inside 🙂

that is the prettiest thing! i just received a lovely xmas gift from my s.i.l. which is sort of the same idea. it’s a silver pendant with 2 hearts stamped out of it and the stamped out hearts are each a pendant for my girls. love it!

That’s beautiful, Amanda. My mother had a little nest with 3 eggs on her dresser (I’m the oldest of 3 girls) and when each of us moved out, she managed to find a nest with a bird in it for us to take with us. I’d love to track down a necklace like that for her. Look out Etsy, here I come!
