With a summer of record high temperatures in the forecast, who wouldn’t want their own ice cream maker at home? Well, some of us would question the wisdom of having ice cream available all the time, so it’s a good thing this machine handles frozen yogurt and fat-free sorbets with as much ease as it manages traditional soft ice cream!
Our Go2Girlz (and their children) really did have a lot of fun testing the Cuisinart Mix It In Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker. And this appliance’s performance lived up to even the pickiest six year-old critic!
Far and away the most appealing aspect of this product for the Go2Girlz was the “fun factor” for themselves and their kids! Not only can you make your own soft ice cream (or fat-free sorbet for those inclined), but you can add up to three different toppings – mixed right into the ice cream – as you’re serving it. How fun is that? In addition, moms loved the fact that it’s homemade so they control the amount of sugar added.
Any drawbacks? Other than having to wait for the bowl to freeze, only one; “the kids harass me all the time to make more ice cream!” (Tracey, Go2Girlz Member). Our testers were impressed with how easy it was to clean, and once the bowl was frozen the ice cream was ready in 20 minutes or less – now that’s fast!
Here’s what our testers had to say about the Cuisinart Mix It In Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker:
“My kids absolutely love it!”, Tracey, Go2Girlz Member.
“Although my kids loved making ice cream, I think this product’s real calling is sorbet – even at specialty gelato shops I’ve rarely tasted anything as delicious!” Helga, Go2Girlz Member.
