What I need is a simple, easy to use home office product that will help me look professional and not require a technical computer degree to use it.
On a rocking Saturday night after the kids fell asleep, I sat in front of my pink Acer netbook and started to download. After several attempts and panic emails, it said that the download was incomplete. I tried again. The same message popped up. So I shut down my computer and went to bed.
In the morning after a cup of coffee, I booted up my computer again. Much to my surprise there were updates for Microsoft Office Professional 2010. When it completed I clicked around my programs and it was there. I am on my way.
My first choice was to explore Microsoft Word 2010. My previous Word was 2003. I poked around and discovered my other blog documents, so I clicked on one. The compatibility to transfer over to 2010 is seamless. In fact it is what I am typing on right now.
I am delighted to see easy to use templates for many letters, invoices and blogs. As a mother blogger, I will be trying out the blog right to publish from Word.
It took me some time to get through all the extras that 2010 Word version has compared to Word 2003, the one I have been accustomed to using. The 2010 tool bar is a hassle free way to find everything you need to complete your document right there.
My weakness in writing is Grammar. So I will end this first review using the spell and grammar check. Please let me know how I did.
