urbanmoms.ca Research Panel – what’s in it for me?

An important part of the urbanmoms.ca community is our Research Panel.  We work with our members, moms across the country, to provide valuable insight and feedback to innovative companies and brands.  We don’t just work with any organization that approaches us.  These companies are selected for their relevance to Canadian women and must go through a screening process prior to being featured on urbanmoms.ca. 

The screening process also includes member participation.  Panel members are contacted, given samples of the product and asked to test it and provide their feedback.  If the product passes the test, we proceed with a customized program of research or awareness to all members and visitors to the site.

So…what’s in it for me you ask?  Well, the ultimate goal is to make relevant products and services better.  Ever feel like some companies aren’t getting it quite right?  No organization wants to produce or market something that isn’t what you really want.  Your input enables organizations to get it right. 

Also, because we are a tight knit community, we create "buzz" when we talk about things.  If our members think something is really cool and worth recommending to a friend, this is of huge value to an organization.  And sometimes, there is an added bonus.  Often, members of the panel who participate in a program are given product samples that they can keep or, are entered in to a draw to win. 

Some of the organizations we have recently worked with include Palm Inc., SweetPea Babyfood, Baileys Irish Cream, and Johnson’s Buddies just to name a few.  We have exciting programs coming in 2006 and are looking for moms across Canada to get involved.
