Well I am not an urban mom, but I am married to one!
2 years ago I was working at the Babytime show for my day job at a magazine publisher and I remember looking around at all the kid’s clothing that was available and thinking to myself “everything is so cutesie!”. Being a father of 2 little kids, I wanted to find them something to wear that was a little more in tune with the things that I like – Popular culture, social media, urban living etc. So my friend and I came with the idea to create one design, print some onesies and sell them at the Babytime Show that following spring. I came up with the name Funzies and away we went. The show was a success and since then I have added 10 new designs. We continue to sell them at the shows and online. All of the shirts are designed and printed in Toronto, but we can ship anywhere in North America. My hope is that other parents who are looking for something affordable and a little different for their babies and toddlers to wear will enjoy our designs. We can only have so many onesies with monkeys, flowers or race cars on them!!!
