Here at the urbanmoms.ca Marketplace we love sharing stories of other mom-based businesses! This week, we’re pleased to bring you the story of KEM Baby Designs.
KEM Baby Designs recently launched their new collection of onesies and tees that celebrate the world and all that it has to offer. Some of their popular designs say, “plant a tree for me”, “I am going green” and “Mommy Powered”.
KEM Baby Designs was founded by three mom entrepreneurs who wanted to make a difference for their children. All three friends used to work together and later became moms one month after another. During their numerous play dates, the idea of designing baby apparel was born.
Their current collection was inspired by the Live Earth concert held on July 7, 2007. “After watching the concert, I was motivated by the call to action to help preserve the planet,” said Liza Sheppard, KEM Baby partner. “We wanted to do our part so we designed our current collection to encourage all of us to love and care for our beautiful planet, such as planting trees for our children’s future.”
