I’m baaaack.
So apparently I took my own advice and just checked out for the whole summer. Moving forward I promise to post more regularly.
We have had one of the most insane two months of our lives and that’s why I haven’t been writing, despite having so much to write about!
As you know on July 3 our baby LJ was plucked from my womb via emergency c-section. Immediately following that we packed up our house (we being the Hubs) and moved out to live with my mom in Brampton so we could start a major renovation on the second floor of our house. Following the move we took advantage of the Hubs three-week paternity leave and went on a getaway to Blue Mountain and enjoyed various day trips to keep L’il E happy. When the Hubs took off for a week to San Francisco on a business trip, my mom and I rented a cottage and took both kids to Lake Huron for a week where we spent more time hauling stuff to and from the beach than we did actually sitting at the beach. I think we may have come home more exhausted. To top it all off I was a bridesmaid in my best friends’ wedding and L’il E was the ring bearer, fortunately I was able to put pen to paper and write an eloquent and heart-felt speech that I was proud of.
But, now we’re home. The first phase of the reno is complete and the dust has settled – for now.
Yesterday’s rain couldn’t have come at a better time. It felt as though the last two months had come crashing down on me and all I wanted to do was lie in bed with my boys and sleep. So I did just that.
Now to forge ahead. Finally I will have time to blog more regularly, get back to running my fabric business and bonding with my new little LJ.
What was your summer like?

Time just gets away from you, doesn’t it? I remember the days when my babies were all consuming. Enjoy every minute! Can’t wait to hear more about life with toddler and babe 🙂
