Hey Torontonians! Put the steak down and listen up:
The 29th annual Vegetarian Food Festival is back in town.
No, that is not a typo. It’s the 29th year.
I know… I’m as shocked as you are. I guess I never took notice of it before because prior to this summer, I was a dedicated carnivore. But now I’m (on a part-time basis) embracing the veg. Hence, it was fate when the @VegFoodFestival handle popped up on my Twitter feed.
I decided to take my kids with me down to the Harborfront Centre last night to test-drive the vegetarian lifestyle. They were apprehensive, to say the least, but since I promised them we’d stop for the biggest, juiciest burger on the way home if they were still hungry, they agreed to come.
What we found exceeded all of our expectations:
Burgers? What burgers?
The Vegetarian Food Festival is going on this Weekend, September 7 & 8th, at the Harbourfront Centre. For more info, check this out.
I was not at all compensated for my review. I’m just a girl trying to become a vegetarian and lookin’ for a little help.
