I’ve never done this. I guess i never thought i could come up with 100. now that i’ve done it…i am sure i could come up with about 1,000.
1. I am 5’1 ¾ . but I tell people I’m 5’2.
2. I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
3. I got a really high score on my SATs and I only took them once.
4. And I went out the night before and showed up for the test in my pajamas.
5. I broke my elbow when I was four. I was in LA and I jumped off of a dresser that I had climbed.
6. I watch too much tv. And I don’t feel guilty about it.
7. I can quote from every movie I’ve ever seen. Almost verbatim.
8. And so can my brother. It’s weird actually.
9. I love books. I love to buy them. Feel them in my hands. Lose myself in them.
10. I’m a lightweight. Give me ONE drink and I get loose in the lips.
11. My drink of choice is a diet coke and vanilla vodka. Mostly because it only has 40 calories.
12. But I’ve never let myself get really, really drunk.
13.I don’t like surprises.
14. I got married on May 17th, 1998. I turned 20 on May 22. of that same year.
15. So technically, I was still a teenager.
16. No, I wasn’t pregnant.
17. I lost my virginity on my wedding night.
18. 8 years + into our marriage and our sex life has never been better.
19. Our oldest walked in on us once.
20. But she was half asleep.
21. It will NEVER happen again.
22. My favorite movie is Almost Famous.
23. My favorite chick flick is Dirty Dancing. I’ve seen it about 500 times.
24. My favorite 80’s teen angst-y film is the Breakfast Club.
25. My favorite tv show right now is Grey’s Anatomy.
26. My favorite band this very minute is Coldplay. I’m obsessed with the song “Fix You”
27. I love to eat sushi. Spicy veggie, only, though, thanks.
28. If I had to choose a restaurant…Cheesecake Factory. Or Maggiano’s in Atlanta.
29. Seriously, they make the best eggplant parmesan. Ever.
30. I’m salivating just thinking about it. Mmm…eggplant parmesan.
31. I only drink diet pop. And I prefer diet pepsi to diet coke. And yes, I say pop. And not soda.
32. We have two daughters and a son.
33. I always wanted to have all girls. And twins.
34. But I’m so happy that I had my son.
35. And even happier that I don’t have twins.
36. I don’t like bare feet.
37. My feet, hands, and the tip of my nose are always cold.
38. I’m quite crafty. But I can’t use a sewing machine to save my life.
39. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist.
40. But I’m a complete slob when it comes to my room.
41. I have faith. But many doubts about my religion.
42. I have a brother who is a Christian.
43. And a sister who is agnostic.
44. And a brother who goes to Yeshiva University in NYC.
45. We are like the United Nations.
46. I went to a New Kids on the Block Concert when I was 12.
47. I still remember what I wore.
48. Black stretch pants and a giant black and white sweater.
49. My favorite was Joey.
50. I still think he’s hot.
51. My favorite book is Franny and Zooey.
52. I read it at least once a year.
53. I have only smoked one cigarette in my life.
54. It was when I went to visit my sister in college. She took me up to the roof of her sorority. I almost puked.
55. The first time I smoked pot was with a guy named Josh Sternberg.
56. I am a big sports fan. I like pretty much every sport but baseball.
57. I don’t play any sports, though. Unless you count the volleyball team I was on in 7th and 8th grade.
58. I dream very vividly and usually remember my dreams in the morning.
59. I once died in a dream. I was in a concentration camp. And was shot.
60. I really want to live in Atlanta.
61. We almost moved there when I was largely pregnant with Isabella. Most of the time, I regret not moving.
62. Our daughter Emily Elizabeth was named for my grandmother, Betty.
63. Our son Joshua Aaron (even though his birth certificate says Aaron Joshua) was named for my grandfather, Aaron.
64. Our daughter Isabella Rose was named for my other grandfather, Lou. (don’t ask. It was after her Hebrew middle name…)
65. I wish I saw my family members more often.
66. I wish I had a better relationship with my mother. and my mother in law.
67. I have never stolen anything. At least I don’t think.
68. The last movie I saw in the theater was Jackass number 2.
69. I thought it was great.
70. The first movie I remember seeing in the theater was Flashdance, with my dad. I was 5.
71. The first movie I saw without a parent was Beaches.
72. I once had to buy tickets for someone in my class – who was on a date – because he wasn’t 17 yet.
73. I got my license the day I turned 16.
74. my test was a joke. I had to make 4 left turns. I didn’t even have to park. All that parallel parking practice for nothing.
75. I got my first car shortly after I turned 16. a black jeep grand Cherokee. I loved her like she was my baby. And I drove it until she was deader than dead. Until I got my minivan.
76. I had my first accident when I was 17. I was on my way home from a Cranberries concert. And I had about 8 people in the car.
77. The only other accident I’ve ever had was in my father in law’s car. He still holds it against me.
78. I hate going to the doctor. I’m afraid of getting sicker in the waiting room.
79. But I don’t mind the dentist.
80. I don’t like to make phone calls. To strangers. Or to people I know.
81. I don’t drink enough water.
82. I have disordered eating.
83. I love to eat cereal. One of my favorites is Peanut Butter Capn Crunch.
84. They don’t sell them in Canada.
85. I have a shopping addiction.
86. It’s the ONLY thing that my husband and I actually fight about.
87. I’m a yeller by nature. Because my mother is a yeller.
88. One of my biggest goals in life is to change this. To stop raising my voice.
89. I am NOT a morning person.
90. I don’t like to drive at night. Because I have serious contact issues.
91. I won’t eat at a restaurant alone. Or go to a movie. But I prefer to shop alone.
92. I love to drink coffee, but I am the slowest coffee drinker in the world. And I usually never finish my cup. No matter how small a cup I get.
93. My coffee of choice is a nonfat latte from starbucks.
94. I love to eat raw cookie dough. And brownie batter, too.
95. I am emetophobic.
96. When it was at its worst, I was only eating white foods.
97. It’s now at its best.
98. I don’t like to ask for help. Ever. From anyone.
99. I like to play roulette at casinos. And I can play all night on about $50.
100. I don’t like to travel. It’s the whole control issue with me. I don’t like to NOT have control.

Ali…it is amazing how much we have in common from the fact that we are the same height to we both would rather shop alone and hate calling people. I am sure if we knew each other and lived actually near each other we would have to be friends! 🙂

Ali, I didn’t realise that you were so young – you are very groovy and mature for someone still under 30 (no wonder you are so fabulous – I feel like a right only Bubbe now ROFLMAO).
A couple of things we share in common:
I love Diet Pepsi (well Pepsi Max) and much prefer it to Diet Coke. And YES, I still call it pop, not “cool drink” here in Oz.
And I get “wasted” after only 1 drink too -5 years of being pregnant/bfeeding will do that to ya!!

I have to do this one of these days. We are so much alike, as we’ve both realized…, only you’re an inch taller and I don’t drink diet pop (and there are a few others we differ on, but I’m in a huge hurry! And, computer fasting as of….NOW!)

wow…married at 19! I thought I was young at 25. Glad I had a little time as an adult on my own…ever wonder about that? I love cereal – had Shreddies for dinner last night…2 bowls! What is emetophobic?? Anyone hurt in the accident? Interesting info!
