we’ve all had them. first kisses. first loves. weddings. the two pink lines. births of babies. first steps. first time a child says "mama". these life-changing moments are amazing. moments we’ll never forget. the details. the dates. everything.
i had one of those this evening. right as we speak, actually.
i am sitting in my bed, watching American Idol (laughing my ass off, by the way. it’s still the best show…even 6 seasons in), and blogging. that’s right. i’m connected to the internet. and i’m in bed. on my very own laptop. and i couldn’t be happier. i will not forget this day.
sure, it’s used. it was a hand-me-down from my dad. and i don’t have a battery for it yet, so it’s still plugged into the wall, and it’s no Macbook, but a laptop it is. yee-haw.
(okay…this girl…the one who’s in love with Ace Young? yikes! ah…look at me…live-blogging! i could SO get used to this)
song of the day: Romeo and Juliet by Indigo Girls. please excuse the Amy Jo Johnson and Power Rangers video. hee!
video of the day: i was hoping to find Sasha Baron Cohen’s Borat acceptance speech…but surprisingly i couldn’t find it anywhere. seriously…it had me peeing in my pants. i give you Hugh Laurie’s instead. and…okay…i still can’t get over the fact that he’s British.
come on over and see me at Cheaper Than Therapy.

Who in their right mind would have believed constructing a mosque at ground zero was indeed a good option? I’m not much of a great fan of both Glen Beck or Sarah Palin and yet compared with Obama and his supremely stupid administration, those two are prodigies, get real America, there’s a little bit of weird stuff happening here. Bonita.

i totally know how you feel about the laptop! thank you a million times to the higher ups at school who provided me with a laptop to use in the classroom (i am so EXCITED). which, by the way, i can take home to work on. now we have wireless in the house. that means no more dingy dungeon, i mean basement, for doing school work. yeah!

I still can’t get over that Hugh’s British either! And, yeah, his speech was hilarious! And, yeah, watching tv while blogging is THE BEST. You’ll never watch TV the same again…. Of course, *I* have a Macbook!!! 😉 Hope you’re having fun in NYC!!!

Ali, I got a laptop too, and it has really, truly changed my life! No joking, it has! I can now take my youngest to preschool, go to the public library next door and get in 2 hrs of work, instead of driving home, turning on my computer and having to turn right around again and go back to pick her up! I too love the sitting in bed (or on the couch, at the kitchen table, etc.) to surf, post, etc!

LOVE HUGH LAURIE! He is so funny and clever. Can you believe what an amazing American accent he does?! His voice even sounds deeper…weird.
Would love to see Borat’s…especially knowing it made you pee 😉
Also, would love to see Forrest Whitaker’s…missed it and can’t find it anywhere!
Oh, and would love to see the awkward moment with America Ferrara…can you help?

Isn’t wireless internet a beautiful thing? It’s how I was able to work from home with my broken ankle this spring.
