My Trip to the Toronto Festival in Yorkville
Today (Sunday) is my birthday. So, for my birthday, I thought I’d look for some excitement and, simultaneously, do my duty as your Cheaty Celebrity Gossip and investigate what’s happening at the Toronto Film Festival. As you know, there are tons of celebrities here for the festival — cough, BRAD PITT (see a list of just some of the celebrities who are in TO for the festival here). Brad Pitt’s apparently staying at the Park Hyatt….And, did I ever gaze longingly at the 8th floor, where he’s apparently staying….Sigh….
Unfortunately, there were no celebrity sightings to be had today. By me, anyway. No surprise. The same thing happened last year. We stood at the back of a humungous crowd and listened to the screams as Orlando Bloom’s limo drove out of the Four Seasons. It was exciting, yes. But, I saw nothing. Nothing….
Here’s a glimpse of what I saw there today, anyway. Maybe you can see a celebrity in the photos. One that I didn’t notice but, with a little luck, took a picture of?
Nothing to see here, folks. Nothing to see….Boo.

Speaking of Celebrity Sightings….
Last night, my brother and his fiancé went to the ET Canada party. (Oh, I’m not bitter that I didn’t get to go…no, not at all. Grrr….) And, they saw this Entourage cutey petutie:
They also saw a Jude Law look-alike….I know: woopdeedoo….
Other friends of (friends of) mine were at the Hugo Boss party and spotted Russell Crowe and Christina Ricci just outside….
And, this is the best: friends of mine got back from Laguna Beach last week, and guess who they shared a private pool with?!?
Yes! Julia Roberts, her twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, and her mother! They totally hung out beside her. Although they didn’t get any pictures for me, they did dutifully report back that Julia was very playful with her kids. She was playing peekaboo: "I seeeeeee…PHINNAEUS!" she was saying. Cute, huh? Oh! And, my friends said she has a tatoo of each of her kids’ names on her back. Betcha didn’t know that! (I didn’t!)

Cheaty Recommends….
Go here for the dazzling preview of The Illusionist….It’s proof enough (if you don’t believe me!) that the movie’s spectacularly stunning….I tell you without hesitation that this is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time. Edward Norton’s performance is Oscar-worthy, as is Paul Giamatti’s. Jessica Biel was gorgeous — and I’ve never been a fan of hers. Anyway, check it out: it’s an aesthically beautiful film with a fascinating, original story. Hire a babysitter, and go check it!

By now, you all know about Paris Hilton’s DUI. Here she is getting arrested…Ouch:

As Splash News Online reports, she was spotted the very next night returning from the Hyde Nightclub at 2:30 am, wearing a black wig (see below)….Her poor publicist was driving her. I guess brunettes have more fun, or something. I’m diggin’ the sparkly hat….Erm, see I really have nothing to say about this. Just another day of Hilton gossip….
Now that she’s not driving, she can focus on her social life, though–clearly!

We get very excited, here at Cheaty’s Celebrity Gossip, when we see
Nicole Ritchie with food. Okay, okay, so she’s not actually eating it.
But, she looks happy, and she has a big bag of burgers n’ such in her
bony little hands. She’s seen here with her new beau, Brody Jenner.
Hopefully, as often happens in relationships, she’ll start eating like
he does. Looking promising here!?
Oh gosh. I hope she actually eats the burger. (Even though I happen to be a vegetarian….)

Oh, Nicole, Nicole…what is there to say? Do y’all remember how long Calista Flockhart ALSO denied having an eating disorder?
As for celeb sightings – yeah, right. You come to Calgary. Tell me who you see. Good luck. The only famous people from Calgary are Stephen Harper and Preston Manning – usually the crowds are running AWAY from them, though.
As for requests…can we get a bit of pre-Survivor dirt? What’s with the tribes being split by race?

Not a Nicholette fan…don’t know why, but she really (in my oh so humble opinion) needs to dress like something besides Paris. And yes, I was happily suprised to see Paris in PANTS with nothing hanging out…..HA.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, Jen. I think she has come out and admitted it. But, like Lindsay Lohan, she tends to take it back. We hear different things all the time, huh? That’s why it’s all just gossip. The pictures talk, though, and she’s frighteningly skinny. She looked aiight for a while–skinny, but aiight–but, now it’s getting Karen Carpenterish. Worried….
Drea: when I get stressed, I gain weight…I’m one of those lucky ones….When I get really stressed and anxious, though, I lose weight….I’d so much rather gain weight than be anxious in the first place, though….
Erna: last year, I went to Yorkville and there was a fake crowd and celebrity sighting. A bunch of teenager girls were gathered, screaming on this one corner in Yorkville. Josh and I (Joey in the stroller) ran to see what was going on, who was there. Suddenly, the girls started running wildly, screaming, and a guy came out among them on a motorcycle. He was no one famous…not even cute….I think it was an ad for something. I was laughing. It was cool, and pretty funny.

I think that Nicole has come out and admitted now that she has an issue with eating (aka eating disorder) right? Even if caused by stress that girl is not eating enough.
Fun Fun Fun!!!! Was in Yorkville too..looking at folks looking at other folks. It was funny to see grown men running with strollers down the street trying to sneek a peak at someone when they heard the crowds screaming.
I saw a 20/20 special on Nicole w/ her Dad.
Talked about a num. of things and then touched on her eating issues.
Apparently (according to her dad) she just thinned out… and stress/anxiety was a big factor.
That he has had her checked out by a Dr. because he was doubtful as well.
I can understand this.
I mean I figure if the girl can come out and admit to being a heroin addict… that coming out saying shes anorexic would be a walk in the park.
Plus I completely relate lol.
When I get stressed or worried I loose weight. Most people gain it. Not me. I got down to 105 last year… and I know a lot of it was stress related.
