KELLY CLARKSON WINS BATTLE(S) WITH HER RECORD LABEL

Check Kelly’s new record cover for My December. Nice. Doesn’t really look like her…but still nice. Anyway, Kelly has FOUGHT HARD for this record. Here’s the scoop (qtd from an interview with MTV Radio):

Everybody always wants me to go in different directions. Obviously
they’re a record label so they need to sell records.They want the formula writers and the formula producers
that do everybody else’s stuff, and while I love some of those
people… and I don’t mind working with that… I just don’t like
working with someone that gives you a song and is like, ‘Oh, I wrote
this for you.’ But you find out that they’ve given it to every other
artist and they turned it down, you know?

…My
label literally sent me a Lindsay Lohan track from her last album and
wanted me to record it for my new album. And while I like Lindsay
Lohan, like I’m cool with her and I think she sings the song well…
it’s already been on an album. I don’t care what pop star it is.

…They were just sending me
stuff that was like almost insulting. I’m like, "You can’t even find
new songs?"

…"You don’t want me to write my album but you’re
sending me hand me downs?" So, I ended up writing the entire thing with
the people that I write well with.

So, looks like this really is HER December…, and like Clive Davis and his clan are probably not liking Kelly so much right now. But, she’s one tough cookie, as you can see. GO KELLY!

WHY is Y&R doing this? WHO? WHOOOOO?  WHO wants to watch this right now? Mourning over a lost son, husband, brother. E-FREAKING-NUFF! I hate them for this. HAAAAAATE! It was AWFUL and DEVASTATING and DEPRESSING enough when Cassie died — I don’t know HOW we let them get away with that. Soaps are supposed to be ESCAPES. Like, hellooooo? They’re NOT supposed to be depressing and anxiety provoking. But, lately, Y&R totally is. And, who’s the bulk of their audience? US! US MOMS, WIVES, SISTERS. Freaking SUCKAGE. And, AND, Nick’s SOOOOO HOT. JUST stop teasing us with Nick’s death — it’s soooo not funny. And, I couldn’t be more serious. Freaking HATE!

Okay, I’m so dunzo with AMERICAN IDOL. Know why? Because JORDIN’s practically already won. If either Blake OR Jordin go home tomorrow, I’ll be so pissed: I CANNOT WATCH ONE MORE MELINDA DOOLITTLE PERFORMANCE. If I have to, I might cry. I’m obviously not a fan. JORDIN JORDIN JORDIN (or, if not her, then Blake…).

As MOI predicted, it’s Bevin and Tessa in the final two on THE BACHELOR.

No surprise AT ALL. Also not surprising?: Andy’s going home with Tessa. Couldn’t be any more obvious. Nuff said. The show’s been a total bore this season.
