I just completed my first week at Booty Camp!
Now, you have heard me whine and moan about my new mom “body”…whaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Yes, I’ve written about it a few times, but to be perfectly fair, it’s one of the highest ranked topics of conversation amongst the new moms- at least the ones I know. Because it’s top of mind. Because, according to the celeb new moms we see, women’s bodies just bounce right back and we can’t figure out why ours aren’t. Because we’re women and we want to do it all and look great while we do it!
When I was presented with the opportunity to take 8 weeks at Booty Camp, I jumped. Visit their website. Google their name. Women RAVE about the results they get and, as you know from my whinnnnnnnnnnnnning, I want those results too.
Thus far, Booty Camp has kicked my butt. These classes are one intense hour of working out. I am a
dripping, sweaty, sore mess once I’m done and that’s why I think these
classes are prefect for the new mom like me.
(As an aside, and to be fair, I am the most non-athletic human being on the planet. I am not exaggerating- it is a miracle I can walk in a straight line, so all types of exercise are hard for me. I’m also lazy. I’ll admit it- so I need someone to kick my butt and make me w-o-r-k.)
For one hour, twice a week, I can work my butt off. I have an amazing fitness instructor, Ashley, at my disposal (whose body alone is inspiring!), a really hard/effective workout (think push-ups, squats, lunges, ow!) that I would never do on my own, and a room full of women in the same boat as me.
I’ll be telling you more about my Booty Camp experiences as the weeks go on (and, will have a cool giveaway for you!!!), but suffice it to say that I feel so good just getting out and working out. A really good, hard workout that makes me feel a bit more like the Sarah of old (or a way older Sarah because I am SORE!).
Mostly, though, I’m loving getting out there and doing something that is for me. Because us moms give up a lot when we have our kids (more then I ever realized) and it’s so nice to do something that strengths my body, mind and spirit, even if it’s just for just two hours a week.

Hey Sara!
The DVD is currently exclusively available to recruits. However, we are planning on selling it independently in the near future. Keep an eye on our site at http://www.BootyCampFitness.com this summer and we’ll announce when it can be purchased!

Thanks Jen! It was time- and I know my lazy butt would find every excuse not to work out at home/gym so this really is the perfect option!

Go Sarah! Just getting out there and doing it is most of the battle. Now, to reap the benefits. Good for you!
