Travel Light with Style

I travel frequently and packing what to wear is always fun. No not really. Packing gives me a headache. I’d like to think I’m a pro at packing…but in actual fact I always over pack.

I have some idea of what I’ll need but I tend to over pack regardless as sometimes hubby drop the “guess what? we’re going to have dinner at _____, surprise!”

And then I’m scrambling through my hotel closet to find what would be appropriate. But this little number has saved me….

At the recent One of A Kind Show, I picked up The Origami Dress by Canadian Fashion Designer,

Diane Kroe.  Like many of her other pieces, this design is very versatile! If you’re in a pinch for something for dinner, a poolside cover up, or a cute top to wear over leggings, this can do all of that and manage to look different each time.

What’s also great about this piece is that it’s very forgiving in places you need it to be. Hello “soft tummy”. The cut of this dress will look great on many different shapes and sizes. I’m a shorty 5 ft 2′ and can swing from a size 4 to a 10 depending on the label.  This style elongates my silhouette. The bonus… you don’t need to iron it plus it’s easy to care for! Wash and go!

It’s very comfortable and PERFECT for travel and for home.

I don’t need to talk it up…the Origami Dress speaks for itself. I’m going to take this on every trip which means I can travel lighter…and um, save room in my luggage for extra shopping, right honey? *winks*

The dress comes in many different colours and patterns. It also comes in solid colours.

I tend to get drawn to solid colours and mostly you’ll see me in black but I went outside my comfort zone this time and chose this Chanel inspired pattern. I loved the way the the fabric also drapes and the dress/top did a great job at hiding my uh…jelly belly.

What was my hubby’s reaction… “WOW!” …’nuff said.
