In a glass enclosed space at the St. James Cathedral located in the heart of the city, was the beautiful setting for the Nella Bella Fall/Winter 2013 collections preview event. With the twinkle from the city lights bouncing on the historical church as a backdrop, some of the city’s most fashionable were on hand to toast Tarek Al-Azbat, Creative Director and Head Designer, and his stunning line of handbags and accessories for the Canadian company.
And the fashion set knows quality when they see it. Functionality and style is key to this all-vegan line and Tarek Al-Azbat knows what women want. He’s been designing for over 20 years for well known brands and designers including Benetton and Alexander Wang.
If you’re a purse whore like me, you have quite a collection, I’m sure…and my husband will never fully understand why I have the need to change my handbag according to the outfit, time of day or outing. I also think my purse is like a statement piece. I’m not one to over accessorize but I do think a handbag completes an outfit.
The Nella Bella fall/winter 2013 collection includes sleek clean lines with styles that make you want to touch and look twice, if not three times over. There is beautiful detailing that I love about Tarek’s designs like the ribbon tie finish that is incorporated into his upcoming collection.
I can’t wait for the fall collection (available in August) but in the meantime, I’ve gone over to the website and ordered me a cute cross-body number that will be perfect for my upcoming trip to France!
