The food truck trend has taken over our streets. And we’re not just talking about the old fashion greasy fries or ice cream trucks. These days, you can find some of the best food from poutine to tacos to jerk pork all served right at the side of the road. And hey, you can even order a truck like Caplansky’s Deli Food Truck (affectionately known as Thundering Thelma) to park up in front of your house or office for your next party! How’s THAT for cool?
And look who else is jumping on the foodie band-wagon…er…truck! The fun people at KRAFT PEANUT BUTTER! They want to “Spread the Feeling” this summer and have hit the roads with their very own food truck! What are they serving? Pure awesomeness, that’s what!
Canadians love peanut butter and for 51 years, have embraced Kraft Peanut Butter and coming up with so many different ways to enjoy it. With this in mind, for the first time ever, Kraft has taking to the streets with the Kraft PB Truck Tour. Yes! They are “spreading” the love and sharing some of the country’s most yummiest creations.
If you’ve already spotted the KraftPBTruck, and have tried any of the treats, they want to know your favourites on Facebook. You can also share your own creation at their website www.spreadthefeeling.ca Who knows, it could someday end up on their food truck!
Here are some of MY favourite creations that are currently being served from the KraftPBTruck! Quick recipes to make a snack or to serve at your next party!
Chips Ahoy PB&J Sandwich
Take 2 Chips AHOY! Cookies and spread Kraft Smooth Light Peanut Butter and strawberry jam in between.
Bike Ride Masterpiece tortilla roll up
Spread a layer of peanut butter, then a layer of strawberry jam. place whole unpeeled banana or cut to the length of tortilla. Sprinkle chocolate chips and roll the tortilla tucking in the ends.
FlutterNutter PB Belgian Waffle Sandwich
Take two cooked waffles, then in between, spread a layer of Kraft Crunchy Peanut Butter and then a layer of Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme.
PB S’mores
Give the traditional an update and add a layer of peanut butter for a yummy treat! Graham cracker cookies, roasted marshmallow or marshmallow creme, chocolate layer, peanut butter layer. I actually made these last night by simply assembling and popping them into the oven at 350F for about 7 minutes before squishing the top graham cracker cookies. Super Easy! Wicked good!
