What’s cooler than a mom in a minivan?

Five moms in a minivan!
This past weekend we loaded up the Dodge Grand Caravan for an epic road trip to a weekend retreat with some of my closest girlfriends. We found more than enough room to squeeze in our 13 suitcases and dozens of bags of snacks and cameras and sleeping bags and 56 different outfit options. The ride was smooth and fast as we left our kids behind, looking forward to a little getaway together, filled with time to let loose, recharge and rest.
The van was a hit with all the ladies and everyone was oohing and ahhing over all the features like the GPS, satellite radio, the camera system that comes on when you back up so you don’t crash into things in the parking lot, and the doors and trunk that open with the touch of a button. I think everyone had van envy. Vanvy? Yes.

We made good time arriving at the resort and had a beautiful weekend. When it was time to head home, we all hopped in the van and the girls raved about how great it was being passengers. It was comfortable and easy to make sure their own personal temperature needs were taken care of, and the seats were adjustable so they could find the perfect setting for a swell ride home.

Bought a cottage last year, the Dodge Grand Caravan would have been great for moving my stuff to the cottage and also moving the stuff out of the cottage to the dump that was left by the previous owners. Definitely, would have cut down on time.

  • Nico

Perfect for those trips to Ikea when you end up buying more than you had planned

  • Ron

Four guys. Four golf bags. Perfect!

  • tektite

I’d use it to fit all my bulk groceries. They really take up space!

  • drjess

I would use it for all those grocery trips I make and to take the kids to school and sports events.

  • murphy

I’d fill it with all of my grandkids and go to the movie theatre.

  • JJ

I would use it for camping with my family. We could fit all of our camping gear and the kids into the Dodge van.

  • pjh

drop the seats, lay down a tarp and get tons of horse manure for the garden

  • ginette4

I would fill it up with the family and a cooler and go on a fall drive and see the beautiful colors of fall. Go to the park and have a final picnic and take some awesome family pictures

  • cinktown

Along with the family & our luggage we would be able to bring along our 120 lb puppy, no problem!

  • Andrea

We could use it to carry all our kids, luggage and presents when we drive to Texas for Christmas! We love our Dodge Caravan, but would love even more to have a newer one with all the bells and whistles!

  • Tooth Fairy

Lots of room to move boxes and inventory from spot to spot! ☺ So it’s really fantastic for business too. Family outings, camping, sports gear the possibilities are endless! But the getaway with the girls is definately most appealing!!

  • Leslie

Vans are the best!! Your 14 year old may not think it is cool, until you fit all 6 of his friends in it for football!! I will use the money for car pooling!!

  • bushcampcafe

we always seem to do major stocking up at costco to bring back up north with us….a van like this would be wonderful!!

  • Debra B

I would fill it with unique furniture and goodies found while spending a Saturday hitting yard sales

  • seapotato

i would take a road trip with my family and pack all our gear in the back!

  • manuelvizcaya

I can carry all my camping equipment

  • binabug

I used to have an older station wagon which could actually fit a full piece of lumber in the back. I could go to the city once a month and do ALL the grocery shopping and not have to stuff things in the front seat. As well, when we go to the city, we’d all get to go, instead of just two of us, as right now I am using my sons car (my station wagon had to be retired LOL)

  • moviefreak

I would take my family and friends to a road trip.

  • beewbedard

there would be more room for all the camping equipment

  • jocypou

i would store all my kids’ stuff! i have 3 kids so that’s a lot of extras!!
    thanks for the chance 🙂

  • Jennifer Allen

I have a 3 year old, 1 year old and pregnant with my third. I am looking into buying a mini van now. I would fill it up with kids and taking my daughter’s to dance class and outings with their little friends 🙂

  • Christy

I’d fill it full of kids and their stuff and head to the lake.

  • hmrcarlson

I have two sets of twins so I would load it up with 4 children, 2 car seats, 2 booster seats and all of the gear that we haul around with us!

  • SweetPanda

We would go for road trips and load it with double stroller, luggages, my kids’ pillows and blankets and leave room for shopping new things!

  • spynaert

I would load it with my son and his soccer buddies and all their equipment!

  • sandi99

Girls road trip all the way!!!

  • ArashNaghdi

with 4 kids we can use all the help we can get

  • ArashNaghdi

my kids would love the seats, with 4 kids we could use all the space we can get

  • Sweettoothtoo

I would load my son, his wife and my dog in the Dodge Grand Caravan along with my two best friends. We could each take 2 bags of luggage each, two large coolers (filled with goodies), a bbq, safety equipment, a first aid kit (a large one), the dog’s bed, my favourite pillow and blanket, some extra pillows for the ladies to use on the drive so they will be comfortable. This would be great!

  • Glogirl

We could fit the whole family in this van with lots of room for extra bags etc. We would all be very comfortable I’m sure!

  • debbie f

I would use it for a camping trip and this time there would be room for my 13 year old daughter and niece and all their luggage and stuff. Who would have thought that two 13 year olds could pack so much stuff for a few days away.

  • http://www.lifeonmanitoulin.com Christine

So cool! Sounds like a blast! Road trippin’ w. BFFs! Too cool 🙂

  • Serenitynow

I’d take it on a road trip for sure…and then ditch the tent and sleep inside..this looks way more comfy!

  • karryk

I would load up the mini van with the kids and boyfriend for a road trip to Algonquin Park for some camping. The tent, sleeping bags, clothes, sports equipment, food and essentials would all fit in and we would all still be very comfortable travelling

  • pinecone

Road Trip! I could fit everyone in, have room for luggage and all the shopping bags we’d bring home!

  • My Life in the Sun

I own a Chrysler Town and Country. (Very similar to a GC) I love the space and options! We fill it to the brim for road trips and camping.

  • anaura

I have a Dodge Grand Caravan and take FULL advantage of the storage everyday! I stow and go one of the seats to deliver cakes and treats, I can pick up 6 of my coupon girls and still have room for all our bags of stuff we got cheap! I can have my kids in the van and bring home 3 fish tanks from a garage sale. I LOVE LOVE the space in this van.

  • bonaccp

  • Tianna

I would load it up with tome more ladies and go again!

  • Dominique

Omg! With the stroller, the bags, the playpen/bed, we just discovered how much space a small baby takes! So it would be used to its full capacity!

  • ebickell

It would be awesome on road trips! Driving is never comfortable when you are jammed into a tiny vehicle with luggage, dog, and toddler!

  • Kimberley3

I might actually go camping with my husband and daughter… I don’t like to sleep in a tent and we don’t have a trailer, but it seems like I would enjoy sleeping and travelling in this minivan!

  • margaret44

I would take the kids and their friends to hockey or baseball practice, every week.

  • Tamara Walker

Well, I already DID take advantage of the abundance of space in your minivan! Umm… I would fill it with an embarassingly large suitcase, sleeping bag and giant foamie. 🙂

  • mrswilson

We can fit all our luggage/sleeping stuff for the five of us in the trunk, without having to have any of it up by the seats. AND I can still see out the back window. It is SO FABULOUS. I love this van.

  • spamgirl

I’d fill it with balloons for a birthday party!
