The struggle of balancing work and family is something all working mom know too well. And Hollywood moms are no different.
Felicity Huffman recently spoke about her own struggles with juggling a career and motherhood, and she didn’t mince her words.
“First, I have to recognize how lucky I am to have to navigate these sorts of issues. I have a job that I love and a fabulous family that I love. But people always ask, ‘How do you balance home life and work?’ And I tell them, ‘I don’t. I just drop the ball all the time,’” Huffman told PEOPLE.
Huffman’s honesty is really refreshing—we’ve all been there so we completely get where she is coming from.
It doesn’t help that Huffman’s current project ABC’s American Crime films in Austin , Texas while her husband William H. Macy and their two daughters—Sofia Grace, 15 and Georgia Grace, 13—are still living in Los Angeles.
“I try to fly back to L.A. every two or three day. But that can take a toll. Sometimes I think, ‘I’m failing both as a mother and an actress.’ But I do what I can to stumble forward joyously,” says Huffman.
“And I’m able to fly home that often, so these are champagne problems, really,” the actress added.
