Today is Valentine’s day and I want to write about Compassion & Gratitude – both of which are part of love.
Compassion because I’ve been reading all the harsh judgement of Whitney Houston. There are lots of Judgy McJudgerson’s out there pointing fingers (credit for the JJ phrase goes to Sober Julie).
Lately I’ve been working really hard on myself. Learning to recognize that I am entirely in control of my happiness. I’ve learned that when I practice compassion & gratitude (for myself first, and then others), I am happy. When I don’t, I am not.
For today, I will act with compassion & love.
Today I am grateful for my loving & supportive family.
